Lammbock – Alles in Handarbeit

Würzburg 2001. Die Freunde Moritz Bleibtreu (Kai) und Lucas Gregorowicz (Stefan) betreiben einen Pizza-Service, mit dem sie getarnt Cannabis-Tütchen verkaufen, angebaut in einem Wald vor der Stadt. In Diskussionen reiben sie sich aneinander. Gregorowicz‘ Freundin Alexandra Schalaudek (Gina) geht nach USA und hat dort einen Freund in spe. Bleibtreu tändelt vorsichtig mit Gegorowicz‘ Schwester Marie Zielcke (Laura), und Gregorocicz‘ Ex Alexandra Neidel (Jenny) kommt aus Berlin und feiert eine Party, die einiges durcheinanderwirbelt. Die Cannabis Pflanzen werden von Blattläusen befallen, und Kiffer Julian Weigend (Achim) gibt Rat. Doch er erweist sich als Polizeispitzel. Die beiden kommen in Bedrängnis, als sie auch unabhängig davon mit der Polizei kollidieren. Gregorowicz’s Vater Elmar Wepper, ein Richter, kann sie heraushauen. Gregorowicz gibt im Juraexamen auf und fliegt in den Süden, um ein Strandcafé zu gründen.

Sorgloser Existentialismus mit vielen Sorgen. Der Film beschreibt ein Lebensgefühl, das Wirklichkeit nur wohldosiert aufkommen lässt, Realismus meidet, sich aber über zeittypisches Denken in den Nebenfiguren mokiert. Die Beschreibung der Vorzüge des US-Freundes der Italienerin gipfelt in einem triumphalen „Neger ist er auch“. Damals sehr erfolgreich.

Würzburg 2001: The friends Moritz Bleibtreu (Kai) and Lucas Gregorowicz (Stefan) run a pizza service, selling camouflaged cannabis bags, grown in a forest outside the city. They rub against each other in discussions. Gregorowicz’s girlfriend Alexandra Schalaudek (Gina) goes to the USA and has a boyfriend in the making. Bleibtreu carefully dallies with Gegorowicz‘ sister Marie Zielcke (Laura), and Gregorocicz‘ ex Alexandra Neidel (Jenny) comes from Berlin and celebrates a party that makes quite a mess. The cannabis plants are attacked by aphids, and stoner Julian Weigend (Achim) gives advice. But he turns out to be a police informer. The two get into trouble when they collide with the police independently. Gregorowicz’s father Elmar Wepper, a judge, can get them out. Gregorowicz gives up in the law exam and flies south to start a beach café.

Carefree existentialism with many worries. The film describes an attitude to life that only allows reality to arise in a well-dosed manner, avoids realism, but mocks the typical thinking of the time in the secondary characters. The description of the advantages of the Italian’s US friend culminates in a triumphant „Negro he is too“. Very successful at the time.
