Jurassic World

2015. Die Jungen Nick Robinson (Zach Mitchell) und Ty Simpkins (Gray Mitchell) fliegen auf die Isla Nublar, wo ihre Tante Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing) den Dinosaurier Thempark ‚Jurassic World‘ leitet. Doch die hat Besuch von ihrem Parkeigentümer Irrfan Khan (Simon Masrani), der die Sicherheit des Geländes für den neugeschaffenen Hybrid-Saurier ‚Indominus Rex‘ prüfen will, durch Chris Patt (Owen Grady), dem er vertraut. Doch der Riese entkommt in den Park und soll von den Sicherheitsleuten eingefangen werden. Er tötet alle. Danach will Howard evakuieren lassen. Robinson und Simpkins kümmern sich nicht darum. Howard lässt sie suchen. Sie und Patt finden die beiden – wie der Indominus Rex. Der verfolgt sie in den Eingangsbereich, wo Panik ausbricht. Andere Saurier bekämpfen ihn. Erst, als er ins Wasserbecken des Mosasaurus fällt, der ihn verschlingt, ist der Kampf gewonnen.

Zwar trägt der Film seine Länge nicht ganz – in dem uneinheitlichen Jurassic Franchise ist er aber einer der besseren, weil er dramaturgisch klar aufgebaut ist, in der Serie auf eigenen Füssen steht und seine moralisierenden Akzente dosiert einsetzt.

2015: The boys Nick Robinson (Zach Mitchell) and Ty Simpkins (Gray Mitchell) fly to Isla Nublar, where their aunt Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing) runs the dinosaur theme park ‚Jurassic World‘. But she has a visit from her park owner Irrfan Khan (Simon Masrani), who wants to check the safety of the site for the newly created hybrid dinosaur ‚Indominus Rex‘ by Chris Patt (Owen Grady), whom he trusts. But the giant escapes into the park and is to be captured by security. He kills everyone. Afterwards, Howard wants to evacuate. Robinson and Simpkins don’t bother. Howard has them search. She and Patt find them – as does the Indominus Rex. He chases them into the entrance area, where panic breaks out. Other dinosaurs fight him off. Only when he falls into the water basin of the Mosasaurus, which devours him, is the battle won.

Although the film doesn’t quite live up to its length, it is one of the better ones in the inconsistent Jurassic franchise, because it has a clear dramaturgical structure, stands on its own feet in the series and uses its moralising accents in a measured way.
