Climax, Nevada. Auf dem Weg von Las Vegas nach Hollywood will Schlagerstar Dean Martin (Dino) bei Amateurtexter Cliff Osmond (Barney) tanken. Der holt den Musiklehrer Ray Walston (Orville J. Spooner), der vorsichtshalber seine Frau Felicia Farr (Zelda) durch das leichte Mädchen Kim Novak (Polly) doubeln läßt. Er will sie Martin zuführen, damit der die Songs des Teams Osmond-Walston kaufe. Doch hinterher hat Martin mit Farr und Walston mit Novak die Nacht verbracht.

Ein überlanger Wilder, in Einzelheiten zwar treffend, doch lediglich mit dem Hauptverdienst, Dean Martin als völligen Fiesling zu portraitieren.

Climax, Nevada. On his way from Las Vegas to Hollywood, pop star Dean Martin (Dino) wants to refuel with amateur lyricist Cliff Osmond (Barney). Osmond calls in music teacher Ray Walston (Orville J. Spooner), who takes the precaution of having his wife Felicia Farr (Zelda) impersonated by Kim Novak (Polly). He wants to introduce her to Martin so that he can buy the songs of the Osmond-Walston team. But afterwards Martin has spent the night with Farr and Walston with Novak.

An overlong Wilder, accurate in detail, but only with the main merit of portraying Dean Martin as a complete creep.
