1935. In der Jones-Saga das action-reichste und atemberaubendste Stück, kurios und lärmend. Die Bar-Sequenz zu Beginn ist ein Kabinettstück. Manches ist zu lang geraten, zum Beispiel die Sequenz mit den Bergbau-Loren am Ende.

Having escaped from Shanghai with the American singer Kate Capshaw (Willie Scott) and the little Ke Huy Quan (Short Round), Harrison Ford (Dr. Henry Jones Jr.) gets caught up in an Indian Himalayan valley in the realm of the child Maharajah Raj Singh, who has revived a murderous cult. From there, Ford retrieves a magical gemstone and returns it to a shamanic village.
In the Jones saga, the most action-packed and breathtaking piece, weird and noisy. The bar sequence at the beginning is a cabinet piece. Some things are too long, for example the sequence with the mining lorries at the end.
