San Francisco 1990.

San Francisco 1990. Lawyer Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (Maggie Ward) wants to gain partnership in the large law firm where she works by taking on a product liability case for the car manufacturer Argo. Her father, solo attorney Gene Hackman (Jedediah Tucker Ward), represents the plaintiff whose car exploded. Therefore, an old conflict escalates between father and daughter, exacerbated by the death of her mother. Mastrantonio is supposed to conceal negligence in her law firm, but plays material to her father that proves shoddy practices by the partnership. Father and daughter reconcile.

In its depiction of conflict – personal and social – a trivial film, but with actors, set and dramaturgy so improved that it is pleasing, especially as it brings out discrepancies between the 60s and 70s and the early 90s.
